Gothic Aesthetic Print Tips

  • Color choices that work: Matte black, stone grey, dark brown, aged copper (metallic), and dark burgundy. Avoid glossy finishes - they undermine the gothic aesthetic.
  • Stone texture filament: Use stone-fill or granite-fill PLA for gargoyles and wall art. The embedded particles read as natural texture from 3 feet away.
  • Post-processing: A light dry-brush with silver or gold acrylic paint over matte black prints creates a "worn metal" effect in under 10 minutes. No primer required on PLA.
  • Supports: The majority of gothic pieces in this catalog are designed support-free. Check the individual product page for exceptions - the Gargoyle Rising is the main exception.
